On My Way Skinny Me. Tuesday, Jan 10 2012. As you can already tell I adore Cooking Light. I pore through their magazine and want to make almost every recipe they have, but I never seem to make more than 1. This issue is going to change all that. I love chinese food, especially szechuan, but normally it is so very fattening and oily that my body reacts to it in very bad ways. Therefore when I saw the full page photo of Szechuan Chicken Stir-fry I knew it was meant to be. The recipe turned out amazing!

On My Way Skinny Me. Finally, edible rice! Tuesday, Jan 10 2012. I know that this seems like a funny title for someone who loves to cook, but it is a well known and well laughed at fact that I am absolutely unable to make rice without either burning it or having it be crunchy. There is absolutely no in between! It has even been so bad that I order rice from a restaurant and then make the stirfry myself if no one is around. Pathetic I know! February 1, 2015. What a great city Hanoi is to explore! This is the first of many Hanoi posts, because we unexpectedly spent a full week in the city after a stuff up with our train tickets to Sapa and a bout of the flu. and we left pleased that we’d managed to cover so much ground, and only a little disappointed that the trip up to Sapa didn’t eventuate. And of course no visit to Hanoi would be complete without becoming completely and utterly lost in the tangle of old quarter streets and alleyways.
