Well, internet outages and food poisoning have kept me from posting for longer that I planned, but this is India, and Banaras at that, so you have to expect everything to take at least three times as long as you think it "ought" to. I was surprised that it was much more prosperous (and Western) than the Russian cities I've seen. And people are nice, and even on rare occasions (drum roll, please) smile!
