Uncle Jim and the children of the special primary class recently finished rewrting and re-illustrating a set of five Karatu books. The children played active roles with editing English language and Hausa texts on the computer. Karatu UK trustees. Special Primary Class 1. Children learn with the computer. They operate the computer with the aid of a switch. A child learning to spell his name with the help of a specially trained teacher. Open Doors is associated with Special Olympics Nigeria and our athletes participate in local, regional and national competitions. Two Open Doors athletes have taken part in the Special Olympics World Games in China and Greece. Although the wheelchair race is not an offical Special Olympics event we always include it in our local competiions so everyone can enjoy taking part in the activities.
