First we're starting with the beaded headpiece I've made to go with my Roman stuff. Based off Art's and Tyg's, I'm rather impressed at how well it turned out, because beads tend to not like me much. Faking it for real. Friday, April 20, 2007. This is what I was swatching for. I can't keep up with the breakneck speed at January One. But I am cranking them out in my own way. It's to be a baby blanket, just four squares of four mitres each, plus a nice deep border. I'm using the no-sew method. I've made a checklist. Per AmberCake, I am using all navy (faux indigo), all the time as one color, and at least three yarns for the bright stripes in every square. My main yarns are:. Blue Sky Alpacas Cotton.

Faking it for real. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Craft Room: Studio Shot. I forget sometimes to count my home improvement projects as craft. But I hand-crafted these shelves this summer, and I'm darned proud of them. I made them myself out of straight pine lumber: 1 x 12 for the shelf itself, 1 x 8 for the support backing along the wall, and 1 x 4 cut into triangles (using my clear quilting ruler! They're all loaded up now, though I still want them cleaner and emptier! What's that in the corner? Ebay auct...

Thoughts and ramblings of just another girl. 30 June, 2006. It's funny, I find myself uysing this as a combination for setting goals, a bit of venting and rambling, but a lot of sorting things out in my mind. Which is good, makes it very different from my other one, which is largely a 'what i've been up to' sort of thing. 4 Running. Not yet. Must start. 5 Smoking. Almost 6 weeks! 7 Diet. Slightly better. Started bringing more lunches, and still making lots of food at home, but not always the righ...Poste...
