A journey through Opera Land. E lucevan le stelle. February 25, 2011. This aria comes from the third act of Puccini’s. This is Pl á. Cido Domingo (of Three Tenors fame) singing in a 1972 film version of the opera. I watched this version in an Opera and the Humanities class last year. In the class, we studied operas which were playing at the Lyric at the time. However, as Deborah Voigt was singing Tosca, and I’ve already mentioned my dislike of her, I decided to stick with the film. Filed in Opera Arias.
