the opposite of silence

The opposite of silence. Thursday, July 16, 2015. You CAN Go Back Again. I pretty much spent my childhood summers soaking wet. We had a pool in the yard at all times. 2 foot collapsible sided all the way up to 4 ft “permanent” above ground (aka: replace every so often when the metal cutouts near the filter became lethal). As well as a town pool within bike riding distance (not that my mother ever allowed us to ride there, but it essentially was). Hey, did this place shrink? It was so BIG when I was little.

http://www.oppositeofsilence.blogspot.com/2014/11/ok-so-that-didnt-work-but-it-was-still.html

The opposite of silence. Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Ok, so that didn't work. but it was still kind of fun. I commute about an hour and 15 minutes to and from work Monday through Friday. My drive is, for the most part, pleasant. I live in New Hampshire; we don’t have the horrendous traffic that other states have, generally speaking. But saying this, I do hit a little pocket of traffic each day, more so at night than in the morning. But am I in that big a hurry? No, not really. Honestly, no, not even.

The opposite of silence. Thursday, May 1, 2014. I’m feeling overly feisty today, so I’ll warn you right now…I might be biting, rude and downright evil in my blog post today. * * (see below). If you are sensitive, easily offended or just plain wimpish, I implore you. stop reading. Please. Take your ball and go home because in this game, we are keeping score and charging outs. First of all, before I launch into my rambling, I’d admit that I whine. I latch onto something else that I want, need, etc…. I have...

The opposite of silence. Wednesday, December 11, 2013. As a little girl, I was lucky-. I had Gram and Gramp in the house and Gramma and Grampa in the trailer (they had a 5. Wheel camper that they camped everywhere in, no.they weren’t nomads, they did have a home! I grew up through most of my childhood with full family Christmases, lots of noise, presents and grandparents. I have incredible memories of my grandparents, my grandmothers in particular. She was tiny with a head of poodle tight curls. My grand...

What might have seemed as the right thing to say at that moment many years ago has helped me in more ways than can be counted and today I felt like I was the lucky one having the chance to celebrate the birthday of a man who may not have ever thought he could take the place of my deceased father but in fact he could and did. As is normal, life has been busy and often feels like it is in fast forward since the start of 2015. Thankfully we recently enjoyed a great family vacation in Bermuda which I will post more about in the upcoming week if time allows.
