RØD-jenta på tur fra NRK med N.R.K. Thursday, April 26. Remembering the Armenian Genocide. 24th of April is the Genocide Memorial Day in Armenia. We laid down flowers at the Memorial site to remember that hundreds of thousands of Armenians were persecuted and killed by Turks in 1915. In the afternoon, we visited our Norwegian friends Kirsten and Tom and their daughter Ragnhild Helen. They served us coffee and Norwegian waffles with brown cheese. Just what we needed after the cold day! It is green in Arme...

RØD-jenta på tur fra NRK med N.R.K. Saturday, March 24. Signature writing in school! During the last week we have been visiting 8 classes to tell about sexual health and to have awareness activities about hiv/aids. One of the high lights was when one of the classes wanted my signature on their new hiv-leaflets. But we never handed out condoms as we do in Norway, we only talked about it and asked them if they knew where they could buy them. Many boys said: Apoteka! But I hope in any case that they learned...

RØD-jenta på tur fra NRK med N.R.K. Wednesday, October 25. I want to ride my bicycle.

Oransje for aprikos, blått for himmelen, rødt for blod. Posted by RØD at 9/26/2006 10:15:00 AM. Monday, September 25. Før jeg...

RØD-jenta på tur fra NRK med N.R.K. Saturday, February 10. Let`s talk about aids! The Armenian Red Cross Youth leaders, and Emma and me had a 2 day seminar to improve our knowledge about hiv/aids and to be better in peer to peer education. World wide, some 40 million people have hiv/aids. More than 2 million of them are children. In Armenia it is estimated that more than 3 000 are hiv-positive. In Norway, the hiv-number is 2 500. Euro-asia is the continent where the hiv-number is increasing the most.

RØD-jenta på tur fra NRK med N.R.K. Sunday, June 17. Perfect End of Mission: New volunteer room! Finally the Red Cross volunteers in Yerevan have their own room! The walls are painted, the floor fixed, and computers donated by HSBC bank are at line along the new desks. The furniture is funded by our activity budget from the Norwegian Red Cross (5400 NOK/900 USD). In addition to the English debates, Satik (to the right) now wants to start with French debates! And this was a very good end on me and Kajas Y...
