About Us - Oregon Housing Alliance

https://www.oregonhousingalliance.org/about-us

Using the State Legislative Website. About the Housing Alliance. In early 2003, housing advocates in Oregon came together to discuss a new approach to housing advocacy at the state level. We envisioned a coalition or alliance that would bring together the many voices and constituencies concerned with the lack of affordable housing and the devastating impact of that shortage on Oregon families and individuals. Our Legislative and Policy Agenda. The Housing Alliance is convened by Neighborhood Partnerships.

Our History - Oregon Housing Alliance

https://www.oregonhousingalliance.org/our-history

Using the State Legislative Website. In the summer of 2004, housing advocates in Oregon came together to address a crisis. A lack of affordable housing. We agree that the time has come to act boldly and creatively to meet the full range of housing needs in our communities. Across Oregon, housing prices are out of reach for ordinary people. Oregonians who have contributed so much – hardworking families and their children, seniors and people with disabilities and veterans are left with too few options.

Maps, Tools, and Links. Tuesday, April 10, 2018. A Fair Housing Month Reflection. On April 11, 1967 I landed by ship in Vietnam; a year later on the same day, 50 years ago, the 1968 Fair Housing Bill was signed into law. Open housing wasn't an issue on the ship or in the barracks I occupied in Vietnam for 18 months, but it had been an issue in Detroit and in the 2,000 public housing project [Herman Gardens] where I grew up. I recently ran across a Detroit Housing Commission letter HERE. From November of1...

Some of the Happy Howards have migrated over the last few years from Southern California to Southern Oregon. This is our story. October 8, 2014. Trip to Cabo San Lucas. So what is Cabo San Lucas best known? Why fishing of course! Deven and I are both fans so we got a little boat (the littlest one there) with a nice fisherman and set out.
