http://briggsgarden.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Briggs St. Garden. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Things are still slow as we wait for the sun to make a more permanent appearance in our sky. I planted some more seeds inside on 4/12/11. I started some kale, pumpkins, butternut squash, melons and cucumbers. So far only one kale came up. hello seeds, germinate! I was just jumping the gun cause I am so excited for fresh garden veggies that I can't wait! I can't wait for warm sunny weather and to have that brown plot of land in my front yard be bright green agai...

Briggs St. Garden: July 2011
http://briggsgarden.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Briggs St. Garden. Friday, July 1, 2011. It is so different than last year. Oregano is really over powering lots of the space. I might dig up one kind so that I can have more room for annuals next year. I had meant to plant basil directly into the herb garden but everything went crazy so into a pot it went. Hopefully I don't kill it like I did last year! I put a lemon balm into the herb garden and that has gone wild! I love having all the fresh herbs available for cooking. What a difference a year makes!

Briggs St. Garden. Monday, March 28, 2011. No pictures but we found an hour or so where it wasn't raining and the sun was out. We weeded our ornamental garden, the pots and herb garden. So amazing how much stuff can grow over the winter. Everything is all set for spring planting! The husband also planted 60 or so bulbs for summer flowers. I can't wait for some sunny weather! Wednesday, March 23, 2011. New Year New Garden. I am going to start some more seeds inside next month. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Briggs St. Garden: Herb Garden
http://briggsgarden.blogspot.com/2011/05/herb-garden.html
Briggs St. Garden. Tuesday, May 3, 2011. I love that I don't need to replant to much this year in the herb garden! The oreganos, marjoram, and thyme are all doing well. So are the chives! Holy moly I didn't even know it was a perennial and man is that thing huge! I added some parsley and lemon balm so far. The basil will go in hopefully soon and I still need some cilantro and dill. Hopefully I will have room! May 3, 2011 at 8:53 AM. What out for those chives! May 3, 2011 at 8:54 AM. Smoky Black Bean Soup.

Briggs St. Garden: May 2010
http://briggsgarden.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Briggs St. Garden. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. The greens are coming up well and the radishes are thriving. So my new expectations are salads, with beets, and radishes . oh and tomatoes. I bought tomato starters from the farmers market. We have a nice mix of canning tomatoes, heirlooms, and cherry. We are doing 11 plants this year and they all seem to be doing fine despite some late frosts and an obscene amount of hail storms. One already has a flower! They are all growing so well! Monday, May 17, 2010. Anywa...

Briggs St. Garden: March 2010
http://briggsgarden.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Briggs St. Garden. Thursday, March 25, 2010. The cat came back. I couldn't be mad but I was extremely uncomfortable. Of course all I had to do was stand up and take one step toward the kitty and it was off like a flash of lightening. I wonder if the cat will pose a problem with the chickens are full grown. With no rooster will they be able to defend themselves? Will I have have to be on edge the entire time they are in my backyard. Being a chick mom can be so stressful. Sunday, March 21, 2010. We think w...
