Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Eskimo Kiss, Under the Sea. It's been a long time since we've posted anything. The below photo should reveal why we've been a little busier than usual. In addition to cooking up a sibling for Max, we had a wonderful trip to LA for Thanksgiving, hosted the Chou family and Gong Gong for our first Christmas at our new house, and had a fantastic two-week vacation in Scotland and Spain. Counting down the weeks until Max meets his new best friend (or so Mama hopes).

Monday, November 8, 2010. MAX has just returned from the ultimate vacation in Taiwan and China. Below is a photo taken in our hotel room in Hangzhou. Wednesday, July 6, 2011. At 275 years, Max has yet to learn about filial piety. He recently started doing ridiculous impressions of his parents. After dinner (and two ice cream cones), we caught him on video doing an impression of Alan sleeping. Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Ian had a doctor's visit last Thursday, together with Lia. Ian needed his MMR booster before school starts (do you hear the sound of my heart breaking as my little man is growing up so fast? So we got it out of the way. Ian is now 44 inches tall (almost 90th percentile) and weighs 41 lbs (50th percentile). He started responding verbally to the sounds. "My left ear" or "my right ear". So not only is his hearing fine, he is very clear on right and left. Sunday, August 23, 2009.

She was the only likable one in the bunch, and she took great photos! I loved her squeaky air-heady voice and wanted to see her in Morocco. Thursday, April 21, 2011. I'm dismayed at television for giving Audrina Patridge, the least interesting girl on The Hills. Except for Stephanie), her own reality show. Of course, I checked out the first episode and I'm glad I did for two reasons:. 1 I have now been introduced to Audrina's mom, the perennially tanked leather bag who acts more like a wronged teenager than a mother. 2 I'm 98% sure the opening song has the lyrics, "Ooooohhh . I sharted.". It's all very appropriate. DO YOU FEEL THE YUM YUM?

Friday, April 8, 2011. Ching chong ching chong. I never claim to understand Chinese, but once in a while I surprise myself when I hear something or remember the word for something. Last week, for example, I was pleased to order a piece of cake in Hong Kong and asked for a plastic bag so I could take it with me. It's the little things.
