On December 14, 2011 · Leave a Comment. It’s been a long, fun semester, but the time has come to say goodbye. When I began this blog back in September, I was not sure what I would find, thus I began my great journey full of trepidation. I found friendly, if sometimes odd, students and professors in the Art Department who were more than happy to let me stare over their shoulders and photograph their work. Having an art department in a college of fine and performing. Makes plenty of sense, but communication? Keith Adams, a professor in the Rowan Art Department, asks, How do we describe communication? Encompassing practices both verbal and visual. Muddies the water of what is and is not communication, or art.

One night, two exhibits: Shannon Hughes and Rebecca Stirner. On December 10, 2011 · Leave a Comment. This past Thursday, Glassboro’s High Street Gallery. Hosted a double-trouble reception for two Rowan University Senior Thesis Exhibitions: “Exposing Nature(s)” by Shannon Hughes. And “Macrocosm” by Rebecca Stirner. Family and friends of both artists filled the gallery, and I think I can safely say it was the most crowded student show I’ve seen this semester. A Distorted View of Life by Shannon Hughes.
