Unlike its rivals, the P1800 didn't opt for a snarling V8 or a super-smooth straight six. Instead a very efficient four-cylinder powerplant with a modest 1800cc produced an impressive 100 bhp. PROJECT 1800LS | A Retro Modern Classic Car
I’ve wanted a Volvo 1800 since age 12 and over the years I have scanned the classifieds, Ebay, Craigslist, car sites, and drooled over the rare siting of an 1800 in the wild. Now I finally bought one. Project 1800LS is the documentation of my restoration and transformation of a running 1971 1800E into a new modern vehicle which I hope to use as my daily driver. Get the car cleaned up, tuned up, and functional as is. Do a conversion using a GM LS engine to give it a modern, powerful, motor and drive train.

Renovation of a Volvo P1800S from 1966. Anders Kåhrström (1979 – 2002). Ove Ericsson (2012 -). Castleman Auto Repair Bodyshop. The stone-chip was loose in the areas where the car had been welded and red primer had been sprayed on top. The reason for this, we believe, is that the red primer never got sealed before the stone-chip was put on, which apparently is required fro a good result. There was rust in both Front Chassis Rails. The Reinforcement Bracket across the transmission tunnel was very rusty.
