Pagan In Pants

Saturday, September 11, 2010. I found this website that has Native American Astrology. I have no idea how authentic the idea is, or if they just took what's general for each time frame from Western or Chinese or both and made a NatAm one, but I kind of like what it has to say about mine, which is Deer:. Deer: May 21 – Jun 20. Sounds basically like Gemini and Monkey combined, and not at all like Obsidian Knife, which is my Aztec symbol (again, according to the interwebs). Links to this post. Pagan In Pants: October 2009

http://paganinpants.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 29, 2009. Out of circle experience. Isn't this a lovely Circle? I wish it were mine, but alas it is not- it belongs to the Leodis Circle, which is not here. Links to this post. Labels: out of circle experience. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Notes: descent myths and the modern pagan. The official Trad-Wicca Descent Myth is a lot like Inanna. Or here, too. Really, most Descent Myths would fit; NeoPaganism is flexible like that. Worldly power doesn't mean anything to the Underworld. You...

Pagan In Pants: i have faith

http://paganinpants.blogspot.com/2009/10/i-have-faith.html

Monday, October 19, 2009. That overall, people as a species are pretty damn amazing. That there's something out there that cares about us, even if it's just us, and that that's okay. That religions will eventually level out. That people will eventually all be educated enough that all this crap will seem barbaric and old. That faith is good enough, whatever that faith is in. That god/dess is big enough and powerful enough that science and philosophy fit inside and explain just how amazing she is.

Monday, July 20, 2009. So tonight, look up at the moon and think about the few people who've been there, think about what it means and what it can mean, and offer a prayer to the Moon Goddess and the promise she offers us. Things I've Learned from Wikipedia: October 2009

http://thankswiki.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Things I've Learned from Wikipedia. I learn something random from Wikipedia, I post it here. Really, you should have figured that out from the title. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Fashion, I got in a discussion about this with my friends at dinner last night, and then again with my coworker this afternoon. Anywho. I wish to attend a function where there will be dancing, but find myself lacking proper instruction for an obsolete and spastic-looking move! O Wikipedia, can you help me? In the classic Watusi.

Things I've Learned from Wikipedia. I learn something random from Wikipedia, I post it here. Really, you should have figured that out from the title. Monday, November 30, 2009. Perhaps this blog relies overly much on the cracks that Wikipedia breaks in my white, middle-class perspective on the world. It happens all the freaking time, though! And like the Minister of Cliches once said, "Write what you know." And what I know is that I'm very prone to doubletakes, followed by exclaiming "People do that.

Things I've Learned from Wikipedia. I learn something random from Wikipedia, I post it here. Really, you should have figured that out from the title. Monday, November 23, 2009. Entry: Andre the Giant Has a Posse. So I had seen these stickers around in the public sphere, slapped to various large objects:. And I never paid them much mind. Until I stumbled upon the sticker's Wiki article. Well, I didn't literally StumbleUpon. Those stickers are a portrait of Andre the Giant. My favorite kind of golem. Kind ...

Things I've Learned from Wikipedia. I learn something random from Wikipedia, I post it here. Really, you should have figured that out from the title. Monday, October 26, 2009. This link was sent to me by Erin. via iPhone. That's right, you can send me links even when you aren't sitting in front of your computer like a dork. Learn from Erin's example. Things I've Learned from Wikipedia. I learn something random from Wikipedia, I post it here. Really, you should have figured that out from the title. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Entry: Boston Molasses Disaster. This is tragic and in no way totally awesome. The blurb at the top of the article pretty much says it all: "The Boston Molasses Disaster. Things I've Learned from Wikipedia. I learn something random from Wikipedia, I post it here. Really, you should have figured that out from the title. Sunday, October 11, 2009. For today's entry, we make a rare safari into the jungles of Wiktionary. Exciting, I know! I've been familiar with the word " twitterpated. To mean lovestruck, but I was not aware that the first usage of the term was the movie Bambi. Was released in 1942 and the book it was based on, the dynamically titled Bambi, a Life in the Woods.

Entry Level Jane: "Forget it, Homer. It's Chiro-town."

http://entryleveljane.blogspot.com/2008/09/forget-it-homer-its-chiro-town.html

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Forget it, Homer. It's Chiro-town.". This is a true story of an interview I went on in June, which, in retrospect, was awful to the point of hilarity. I found an ad on Craigslist- and so many trainwreck stories start that way- for an assistant position in a chiropractor's office. No experience needed? I am so there. The response I got was the same email. As before, with the interview date changed to a week later. This guy was the very soul of quackery. Your friendly neighborh...
