Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Well, we´re off to the airport to come home. Can´t believe enjoying all this cooler weather in Lima is going to be changed for the dry HEAT of Vegas! We´ll arrive Thursday morning with lots of stories, pictures, and mosquito bites! We have a few things we WON´T miss. 1 putting toilet paper in a trash basket NEXT to the toilet. 2 the smell of mosquito repellant (and burning sensation on our skin). 4 living out of a suitcase and traveling lots. 7 disinteresting smells and odors.

Wednesday, June 8, 2011. A Bump in the Road.Already! Thanks to my cousin's daughter, Elise, we found out that our 3rd destination, Puno/Lake Titicaca. Was having some political unrest. As we delved into our research, including the embassy there and the travel department, it is NOT advised that tourists travel to that area. Due to the natives protesting against a Canadian company wanting to build a silver mine or something. It doesn't look good at all. So. The highest navigationable lake in the world.
