In Training For...: Brick by Brick
http://ohioswimmerandrunner.blogspot.com/2007/05/brick-by-brick.html
So I thought I would do a quick post of what I have been up to. On Wednesday I swam with the masters group. I think it was around a 2500 or so. On Thursday I ran 6 at a 7:28 pace with a avg heart rate of 154.which is a little. Higher than I would have liked but I I didn't feel too bad. Friday I took the day off as I knew I had a brick to do on Saturday. And 2 water water bottles on the bike with a custom blend from Infinit. This was my first try with Infinit. When I got home, my 'transition time' to the ...

In Training For...: Mid week update
http://ohioswimmerandrunner.blogspot.com/2007/05/mid-week-update.html
I am still trying to ramp up the biking to see if it is realistic to do the HIM in June. I rode 41 on Saturday and then ran 10 on Sunday pretty easy @8:30 pace. Monday I did the Master swim:. 600 Warm up (bk, br. 300 pull (:30 seconds rest). 2X100 kick (20seconds rest). Originally, my intention was just to spin the legs but I felt pretty good and worked a bit. I ended up doing 31 miles with a 20 average. Off to masters swim tonight. In Training For...: Plowing along.
http://ohioswimmerandrunner.blogspot.com/2007/05/plowing-along.html
I plan on going to masters swimming tonight then hopefully a ride tomorrow. Posted by BuckeyeRunner at 3:38 PM. Good job listening to your body and adapting the workouts. i tend to ignore those little signals and that is not smart. Oh, and i love drafting in the pool! Yeahdrafting makes a huge difference in swimming. My goal for every tri swim is to find a pair of feet that is just a bit faster than me that i can follow. Just have to amke sure that pair of feet is swimming straight :0. IAAF World Youth C...

In Training For...: A run to forget....
http://ohioswimmerandrunner.blogspot.com/2007/02/run-to-forget.html
A run to forget. Knowing that the treadmill miles I am racking up are not going to 'cut it' I was determined to get outside this past weekend for my long run. Some way or some how. Posted by BuckeyeRunner at 10:15 AM. You have a lot of will power to be able to run for 16.5 miles while feeling like crap the entire time! As for the skipping the swim because of sore legs, have you tried using a pull buoy? Pulling is a great way to get in a workout when you have really sore legs. Your arms do all the work.

In Training For...: Oh the wind....
http://ohioswimmerandrunner.blogspot.com/2007/05/oh-wind.html
Can I get a bike ride that does not have gusting winds? Not to cry about it, but my last 2 rides have had some brutal winds. I feel like Lance Armstrong in one direction.and like a 3 year old with training wheels the other. Oh well. 4X25 @ 30 seconds. 4X25 @ 28 seconds. 4X25 @ 26 seconds. 4X25 @ 24 seconds. Hope to get a run in this afternoon. Posted by BuckeyeRunner at 8:36 AM. Sounds as though you are getting in some quality training. View my complete profile. 2006 Cleveland Olympic Triathlon. scotts running: January 2007
http://scottsrunning.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 24, 2007. The calories go in. The other morning at work a coworker who is on a diet but still loves to cook brought in a Tupperware container of chocolate chip cookies for the office. Nobody tell my mom, but his may be the best chocolate chip cookies ever. There must be double the lard or unholy deals with Satan or something involved. I briefly thought about not have one (a cookie at 8 AM? Thinking to myself, “What’s the use? 8211; life is good. Sunday, January 21, 2007. Interested in ...

Debt Hater: Hi, My Name is Debt Hater and the Buck Stops Here
http://debthater.typepad.com/debt_hater/2005/12/the_buck_stops_.html
I've gotten out of debt, now on to my dreams! December 27, 2005. Hi, My Name is Debt Hater and the Buck Stops Here. I love having money and spending money, but I hate the concept of money itself. How it must be watched, nurtured, constantly counted and put to work. I don't like anything that has to do with finances. It's just not in my blood. Bada bing, bada boom, two years later I had a master's degree and $16,000 in credit card debt. Wrong Oh so very wrong. I lived in Los Angeles while I worked as an i...

scotts running: Week Minus 04 and Counting Down...
http://scottsrunning.blogspot.com/2009/07/week-minus-04-and-counting-down.html
Monday, July 06, 2009. Week Minus 04 and Counting Down. Yesterday I was scheduled to run 13 miles but ended up running 16.3. I initially thought it was 17 but found a more accurate total when I drove the course later. I’m a little sore today but not too back, pretty pleased really. I realize that jumping from 12 to 16 miles from one long run to the next is reckless but it is also exciting! Jon (was) in Michigan. Oooh, be careful with that. Jack started running longer after his second marathon and now...
