Dec 15, 2008. Jingle Bell 5k 2008. On Dec 13th I talked Kyle into doing the Jingle bell 5k run. Again but this year we dressed up for an extra level of holiday cheer. The race was pretty uneventful. I think I ran under 25 min - not my best but the roads we slick and I had not run since the Seattle half marathon. Sep 4, 2008. Ran myself into the ground. Instead of heading straight home for the ice bath I should have taken we wandered around the shops at green lake. Then by the evening my calves were already starting to feel sore and i was asleep by 9 pm or so. Luckily after climbing another hill I reached my mom's house and Jerry and her were home. Aug 24, 2008. Lake Sammamish Triathlon 2008. After all that I went for a 10 min run to warm up and let it go and just get my mind cleared to get ready for the race. Kyle and I met back up before heading down to the beach. The swim seemed super short, way shorter than in 2006 (the last time we did this race). By almost 12 min. Swim 6:16.6 T1 1:34.5 bike 44:19.7 T2 57.3 run 24:01.0 overall 1:17:09.1. Kyle did wind up placing 1st in his age group and 11th over all so he was very happy. I am so proud of you!

Aug 8, 2010. Cougar Mountain TT 2010. I am not totally sure how or why I agreed to do the cougar mountain time trial. It is about a 2 mile hill climb time trial with an average gradient of 7.2% (L’Alpe D’Huez is 7.9%) ans about 1,200 feet of climbing. This chart says it all. Nice race, your are doing really good. When it was time to line up we saw another friend that we met in Clearwater who has recently joined the Pauole Sport Team.
