West Temple Life: Who
http://westtemplelife.blogspot.com/p/who-am-i.html
Joy, sorrow, stillbirth, strength, family, friendship, life. Remembering Kai. photos. Books, Links, etc. This is me at our computer. Lived in and around Toronto my whole life except for three years spent apprenticing with an artist in Japan. I married my high school sweetheart just over 20 years ago. I have lived with chronic depression since I was in my early teens. Our son was stillborn on Jan. 7, 2009 - it was the worst year I've ever experienced. I love good chocolate. Computers are not ME friendly.

West Temple Life: February 2013
http://westtemplelife.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Joy, sorrow, stillbirth, strength, family, friendship, life. Remembering Kai. photos. Books, Links, etc. Sunday, February 17, 2013. Annual IL Holiday exchange. Every year since my son was stillborn I have participated in a Holiday Gift Exchange for Infant Loss parents. This year I had the privilege to make a gift for Holly's daughter, Eden. I had made a basket full of cast pulp hearts and stars because I was also hosting some fellow IL moms at my studio for a holiday ornament making session. Every year s...

West Temple Life: It used to be easier.
http://westtemplelife.blogspot.com/2011/02/it-used-to-be-easier.html
Joy, sorrow, stillbirth, strength, family, friendship, life. Remembering Kai. photos. Books, Links, etc. Wednesday, February 16, 2011. It used to be easier. I'll be forty-four next week. It's freaking me out. I'm not freaked out by getting older in general, but for the last two years I have been acutely aware of how old I am and how much time I may or may not have left to conceive another child. I'm stronger now and don't believe all those stories I've told myself for years. Right! I wish I knew, because...

West Temple Life: Hollow
http://westtemplelife.blogspot.com/2009/06/hollow.html
Joy, sorrow, stillbirth, strength, family, friendship, life. Remembering Kai. photos. Books, Links, etc. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Mossy rocks in the Poconos. I really hate this feeling of hollowness that I get. . This hollowness has a slightly different feeling than the one I usually experience when I am clinically depressed. Maybe because this one has a real cause that others can (somewhat) understand. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Photo taken by NILMDTS photographer Marcia Leeder. Dark, Dark, Dark.

West Temple Life: Teetering
http://westtemplelife.blogspot.com/2012/04/teetering.html
Joy, sorrow, stillbirth, strength, family, friendship, life. Remembering Kai. photos. Books, Links, etc. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Kai's red dogwood tree this spring. There is a whole crop of brand new infants on the street by my studio. All of them are boys. I'm so relieved that all the parents had healthy, living babies. They are adorable! I wish we could adopt but we can't. We don't have the money and as a past psychiatric in-patient I am not the best candidate for a mom. Kai, what did I do wrong? Yes I...
