Crazy Old Hippie Chick: August 2013
http://crazyoldhippiechick.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 30, 2013. Vintage Dress, 1967. Now that the weather is cooling, and the garden and bees are wrapping up for the season, I am starting to think about my next sewing project. I have been itching to sew a vintage style dress. I recently bartered for 2.5 yards of a navy blue crepe suiting which led me to dig out this dress pattern. I'll need to do some adjustments to the pattern, and sew up a muslin or two, before I cut into the fashion fabric. Potato Chips and Newly Gluten Free. There have be...

Crazy Old Hippie Chick: My Gluten-Free Bread Recipe
http://crazyoldhippiechick.blogspot.com/2014/07/my-gluten-free-bread-recipe.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. My Gluten-Free Bread Recipe. Buying gluten-free bread at the supermarket is ridiculously expensive. And some of it tastes like Styrofoam. I have been experimenting with baking my own. I really like the way I've been making it lately. It is a rather short loaf but the flavor and texture are good. I like to watch my carb intake so, to me, smaller slices aren't a bad thing. Preheat oven to 100 degrees (or warm). 3/4c warm water in a measuring cup. Add to this:. 2 Tbs Organic sugar.

Saturday, February 1, 2014. And We're.Still Waiting. I'm sure those of you who have purchased a bank owned property can sympathize. Fannie Mae moves at her own pace. In fact I question whether she moves at all. Maybe it is like watching a sloth? I think it was meant to be ours. Now we just need a leather sofa and chair, and we'll be set. Crazy Old Hippie Chick: April 2013
http://crazyoldhippiechick.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 28, 2013. My Bargain Norwood Loom. Apparently this is a much sought after loom. Norwood looms are no longer made of cherry and this older style loom is much better made than the Norwood looms currently produced. It has a sectional back beam and chain tie ups. It came with the original manual, extra heddles, a Glimakra swift, warping board and 2 Leclerc shuttles with bobbins. This was my best yard sale find, ever. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. She was there not too long ago. I definitely sa...

Crazy Old Hippie Chick: I'm Still Here! Meet the Willoughby Petting Zoo.
http://crazyoldhippiechick.blogspot.com/2014/07/im-still-here-meet-willoughby-petting.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Meet the Willoughby Petting Zoo. If anyone has been checking my blog they probably wonder if I dropped off the face of the Earth? No I've just been incredibly busy. Every now and then I'd remind myself that I need to post something but in the evening, when I had some down time, I'd be too tired to make the effort. What have I been doing? Shirley greeting the new arrivals. She wasn't happy and screamed at them for 2 days. They all get along great now. Next I needed a dairy goat....

Crazy Old Hippie Chick: July 2013
http://crazyoldhippiechick.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Our street is lined with Thundercloud plum trees. Some of them even bear fruit. My next door neighbor's tree is a heavy fruit bearer. Each year the neighborhood kids congregate to pick most of the low hanging plums.usually long before they are ripe. However this year they missed one large area. 4# pitted plums (about 5# unpitted). 1/2 tsp. acid blend. 1/2 tsp. pectic enzyme. 1 campden tablet, crushed. Package wine yeast (or 1/4 tsp in starter). Meanwhile prepare a yeast starter.
