More 3.5 months pics to the right and below.definite decrease in swelling.I was finally starting to look like myself again and be recognized by most people. 35 months after surgery. As you can tell the swelling decreased alot from 6 wks to the 3.5 months point. I wish I had more pictures but this was during school and things got a little crazy.

Right after the bands came off. My swelling decreased dramatically. Between days 5 and 9. This seems like a good place to address the issue of numbness. When I first woke up in the hospital it felt like the entire middle of my face from right below my eyes down to the tip of my chin was numb!

I started college in August 2005, which was 4 weeks after my surgery and I've been on overload ever since but it is FINALLY here.almost 6 months after my surgery but it is here.thanks for your patience. Right after the bands came off. This page has pre-op and the first few post-op pictures I've taken. Beware they are a bit scary. I resembled a pufferfish for quite a few days. :). You can clearly see my massive underbite in the photos below. It shows mainly in the profile one of me smiling. In a front view picture it's not quite as noticeable but you can tell that I have a really prominent chin and very defined features. A few days pre op. Day 3- Right after I came home from hospital.
