Build a Barrett: September 2011
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Tonight at the dinner table, Mackenzie asked when we were going back to Sea World. We actually have passes through the end of the year from our visits in February and June, but weren't planning another trip. Curious, I asked Mackenzie to tell me her favorite part of Sea World. Her answer: "The Shops! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe to all posts. Subscribe to baby updates only. Subscribe to baby updates via email.

Build a Barrett: Where's my bus?
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2010/12/wheres-my-bus.html
Friday, December 03, 2010. Zach taking his food. To go" on the bus. Today we piled the family along with most of my coworkers into a big charter bus and headed to Mammoth Mountain for a team building event. Even after we arrived in Mammoth and were exploring the Village and heading to dinner she continued to ask about the bus. What a great post! I love Mammouth Mtn too Mackenzie! I hope you all had fun. The kids look adorable. December 8, 2010 at 7:24 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Build a Barrett: Another day, another diaper
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2010/06/another-day-another-diaper.html
Another day, another diaper. Tuesday, June 08, 2010. After a fairly restful morning, Mackenzie and the grandparents came back to visit on the afternoon of Zach's birth. Mackenzie brought her little bro a "gamoon" (balloon), and little bro gave her a stuffed monkey that sings and claps "Happy and you know it". We're going to give Zach the full credit for that little gift, because I'm sure everyone including him will be sick of it soon. June 9, 2010 at 3:48 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Build a Barrett: April 2010
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Posted by Mama Barrett. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Mackenzie and I took a field trip with our Mommy and Me class at Horizon Hills on Tuesday, April 20. We visited Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark where we spent the morning picking strawberries! It was such a fun experience for her and I to share. She absolutely loved it! I explained to Mackenzie that the red berries were the ripe ones and those were the ones we wanted to pick and she seemed to understand! Posted by Mama Barrett. Sunday, April 18, 2010.

Build a Barrett: May 2010
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. We're still waiting for baby brother to make his entrance. The countdown is down to less than a week, and there's a different kind of pool involved this Memorial Day weekend. Nama D and I are both betting on June 1st, but Heather, Nama B and Papa are picking the following weekend. Most of coworkers have chosen the squares in-between. Needless to say, we're taking it easy this weekend. While we wait, I've updated some earlier posts on the blog with video from Christmas. Nama B came...

Build a Barrett: June 2010

Happy Birthday 2 Mackenzie! Saturday, June 19, 2010. One of the few words Mackenzie consistently mis-pronounces is balloon, which comes out of her mouth as "gamoon." And as Nama and I shopped for birthday party supplies, Mackenzie insisted upon white gamoons for her birthday. Of course, she got them. Mackenzie also got a picnic table for the patio, and her biggest present (by volume anyway) was an inflatable kiddie pool. After Papa and I managed to fill it with both air and water, Mackenzie and I cha...

Build a Barrett: August 2010
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 21, 2010. As the end of August neared, we picked a weekend and decided to go for it - regardless of the mercury-meter reading. We piled both kids and Nama B in the minivan and headed to Ventura. When we got there, the sun had not yet made an appearance and it was clearly too cold to even unload. So we went to get some lunch, hoping it would warm up in the meantime. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe to all posts. Subscribe to baby updates only.

Build a Barrett: December 2010
http://www.buildabarrett.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 05, 2010. On our second day in Mammoth, Mackenzie and I went down to the lobby for breakfast. Several people asked her how she planned to spend the day, and she told each of them "I'm going to build a snowman tomorrow." I kept reminding her that tomorrow was today. So we bundled the kids again and headed out to build our snowman. Mac kept asking "Where's my snowman? Friday, December 03, 2010. Zach taking his food. To go" on the bus. Mackenzie has been excited all week to ride the "big bu...

Build a Barrett: September 2010

Little Miss Smarty Dress. Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Yesterday was Mackenzie's first day of school - once again she's enrolled in a "mommy and me" preschool one day a week. Mackenzie told me her teacher was "Mrs. Kandy" and she had fun. Beyond that, Mama Bear reported that they made a placemat and coffee-filter flower, and learned about surface tension (apparently Mrs. Kandy places special emphasis on science). I guess our next lesson needs to cover non-literal figures of speech. Subscribe to all posts.
