It's all about Jesus: Love means catching them when they fall
http://more-orange-peeling.blogspot.com/2011/07/love-means-catching-them-when-they-fall.html
It's all about Jesus. Friday, 1 July 2011. Love means catching them when they fall. This is a story I wrote a few years ago - felt it's time to get it out of the drawer. Love Means Catching Them When They Fall. 8216;Let’s make a new being like us,’ said Father one morning. 8216;Yes,’ said Son, ‘a being that will be able to love and be loved.’. 8216;Yes,’ said Spirit, ‘a being that will be able to think and make choices.’. 8216;Yes,’ said Father, ‘they must be free to make choices.’. 8217; Son asked.

It's all about Jesus: Got it covered?
http://more-orange-peeling.blogspot.com/2011/06/got-it-covered.html
It's all about Jesus. Monday, 13 June 2011. How old were you when you learned to hide things from your parents? And hide them. because so often it seems the grown-ups have eyes in the back of their heads, or some uncanny ability to work out that we're not quite telling them the full story. I guess we must have had some tahini sauce smeared on our little faces. :). There was a king. And this is really sad, because recognising we've done wrong is the first step on our path to freedom! What if it is true?

It's all about Jesus: Someone to lean on
http://more-orange-peeling.blogspot.com/2011/03/someone-to-lean-on.html
It's all about Jesus. Friday, 11 March 2011. Someone to lean on. I don't know who it was that first came up with this thing about God being a crutch that people lean on - supposedly only those who are weak enough to need something/someone to lean on. When I was young I bought into this notion - I was still young enough to believe that only weak people need a crutch to lean on, and of course I was going to be strong forever. At that time I didn't personally know anyone who knew God for real. A bit like if...

It's all about Jesus: One day I'll meet him - an awesome thought!
http://more-orange-peeling.blogspot.com/2011/05/one-day-ill-meet-him-awesome-thought.html
It's all about Jesus. Sunday, 22 May 2011. One day I'll meet him - an awesome thought! I was thinking of a friend I've been getting to know online, who lives in America but has mentioned the possibility of coming to England for a visit. It's exciting to think that one day I might get to meet her face to face. We've had great chats using the wonders of modern technology, but there's nothing like sitting somewhere together and chatting over a coffee. (or a nice English cup of tea.). What if it is true?

I think, therefore I blog. 160; now @ http:/ meiravsblog.wordpress.com. Take your kids to the park, and leave them there. I must have looked like a nodding dog while I was reading this article. It makes so much sense! But hey, can you ever really know that? Is there such a thing as complete and total safety in this world? All you can really have is an illusion. That your kids are safe. For more about this stuff go to. How to Raise Safe, Self-Reliant Children. Links to this post. I'm pretty sure I'...

I think, therefore I blog. 160; now @ http:/ meiravsblog.wordpress.com. Someone is wrong on the internet. From http:/ www.xkcd.com. I came across an interesting linguistic analysis. Of the wording of this familiar cartoon - starting with whether or not the word order is wrong, then moving from there to why it's not just right but also funny, which he reckons is to do with the difference in meaning between "wrong" in "some thing. Is wrong" and "wrong" in "some one. Links to this post. Or if we go b...

I think, therefore I blog. 160; now @ http:/ meiravsblog.wordpress.com. No, we can't. Dear Mr Obama,. I'm an Israeli and, like the majority of Israelis, I have longed for peace for as long as I've lived. The idea that one day we'll be able to just live normal life without people getting killed when they're going to work or doing their shopping or sitting at a café - that is a dream we have been dreaming ever since the State of Israel came into being. Leaving aside for the moment the question of wh...

I think, therefore I blog. 160; now @ http:/ meiravsblog.wordpress.com. Ever thought of social networking sites as virtual coffee shops? What makes people happy? Very stressful. There's no 'delete' function. You can't google a salient, point-proving fact." As someone who loves the "edit" feature (and I feel so lost without it on fb), I am so so with her on this! At which point I raise my eyebrows and say: only 20 minutes? What self-discipline, what willpower :). Links to this post. Living the Chri...

I think, therefore I blog. 160; now @ http:/ meiravsblog.wordpress.com. Or: just because you got hurt, it doesn't mean they're nasty. Sometimes people hurt other people not because of any nasty intentions but simply because of the two parties having different expectations of whatever-it-is that they're getting into. No contracts, no signed agreements, no listing of the ground rules - therefore plenty of scope for misunderstandings and for disappointment. we let other people down sometimes with...
