Saturday, August 24, 2013. Womens Ashes 2nd ODI at Hove. I decided to go to the Women's Ashes ODI at Hove. The match was held on Friday 23rd August 2013 and was an important one. If we were looking for an example of how good a spectacle Women's cricket is, then this was not it. I did not attend days three or four but a draw was the result with two points awarded to both sides. The Ashes would now be decided over the upcoming three ODI's and three T20 matches. Thursday, August 23, 2012. I have been trying out the ways and means to take photos and then convert these into full 360 degree spherical panoramas. Well when I was in NSW, I kept visiting many beautiful locations and feeling frustrated that I could not adequately capture the scene in a photo. A panoramic photo does a reasonable job although it does take a bit of effort and some expense to get started. Here is my first attempt. It is a local bridge that crosses the Basingstoke canal near Woking.

Monday, April 21, 2014. My return to the UK is imminent and next month I will be arriving in England to pleasant spring weather (fingers crossed). However, eventually Woolworth's started to provide me with a credit instead of a refund and make excuses about their terms and conditions allowing late delivery. I went for a walk in the Botanical Gardens recently and there was this bamboo tree. Also a banana tree. A day or so later, I walked over the Harbour Bridge. The Opera House was it's usual stunning self.

Saturday, October 13, 2012. Wednesday, October 03, 2012. Replacing the non-replaceable battery. The chargeable battery in my Braun electric toothbrush seemed to be holding a charge for a lesser and lesser time. I decided to replace it even though it is claimed to be non-replaceable. This may be because there is a bit of soldering involved. I purchased a battery from ebay and used the chosen method of rotating the unit on the charging base to get at the innards. Friday, January 16, 2015. Warming up in Adelaide. When I arrived in Adelaide the hot spell was over and a period of wet, cool and windy weather had taken it's place. This A380 took me from cold and dull Heathrow to Singapore. I returned to the Adelaide oval (No 2) the next day for the WNCL 50 over match between the same teams.
