Leaving Kirk Yetholm 256 miles to go! Greeted with a bottle of champagne on the walk down into Edale. Arriving at the Nags Head in Edale on Wednesday September 3rd at 15.20pm. 256 miles in 13 days! Thanks for all your support.

Andy enjoys the outdoors and particularly walking. Recent walking trips have included the Western Lake District and a circular walk of the Dark Peak. Catherine has just returned from a gap year in Brazil. And is spending time preparing for the walk. Shortly after the walk is over she will be taking up a place at University in the UK. Warm up walks included. 30/7/2003 Holmesfield Round walk 16 miles/6 hours. 3/8/2003 Dovedale Dipper Challenge 21 miles/8 hours. 9-10/8/2003 Swaledale loop 33 miles/2 days.

Updated 21st April 2011. The Pennine Way is arguably the finest long distance walk in the UK. The North-South route follows the Pennine tops along the rugged backbone of England from the Cheviots hills, over Hadrian's Wall, then on through the Yorkshire Dales, and ending in the Derbyshire Peak District. You can of course also walk from the South to the North, and a greater number of walkers probably tackle the walk in this direction. Each night we arrived in Edale. 14 days later on Wednesday September 3rd.
