Local Ecology: I Failed the Challenge, or What I Learned From the Eat Local Challenge
http://localecology.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-failed-challenge-or-what-i-learned.html
Spaces and connections, natural and human-made. Sunday, July 13, 2008. I Failed the Challenge, or What I Learned From the Eat Local Challenge. Eating a 100% local diet is just not easy. I tried, but I failed. And I failed for 3 basic reasons. For my lunches I will allow myself to eat sandwiches again. However, I will start making my own peanut butter as soon as I decide which food processor to buy and I will continue buying locally produced cheeses even though they do cost more. Because I love it!

Spaces and connections, natural and human-made. Tuesday, January 01, 2008. RIP: Squeeze the Pulp. Today, a new STP has been unveiled in the form of a wiki rather than a discussion forum. "We have brought on some of the more controversial posters from the old Pulp as contributors. Each controls their very own slice of the Pulp.". And then there are the definitions.

Spaces and connections, natural and human-made. Saturday, December 01, 2007. Dark Days Eat Local Challenge. I hereby accept Urban Hennery's challenge to cook at least one local meal through the lean days of winter. I don't have anything frozen or canned so I will probably have to learn a lot of new sweet potato recipes. Want to take the challenge? Cook one meal a week with at least 90% local ingredients. Write about it - the triumphs and the challenges. The challenge starts now, or whenever you sign up.
