A visit to Chazuta. Friday, 22 May 2015. High country pilgrimage in September. I was recently invited by don Isidro, a Q'ero shaman, to join him for traditional ceremonies and coca leaf readings up at Colluyriti on Ausangate sacred mountain for September 13-15. There are two such gatherings every year, one in May which is bigger and tends to have more tourists and the other in September that is smaller and more intimate. Sept 11 Fly to Cusco, sleep at Yanapanakusun hotel. Sept 15 Journey back to Cusco.

You move in and slowly finish your dwelling as time and funds become available. We are joining this venerable tradition by moving into our partially finished house and will keep on with the construction one room at a time until the whole structure is complete.
