Two Dogs and a Baby. Saturday, January 9, 2010. Since my last post, lots has happened! For starters, we went to Florida for a 1/2 work - 1/2 relaxation trip. The first 1/2 took place in Orlando where Peter had a conference, so Elise and I hung out at the HUGE hotel and took some ventures "abroad" to an outlet mall or two as well as EPCOT one day! Going to Disney World by myself with a 6 month old, toting a stroller, carseat, two bags, and baby bjorn carrier was quite the adventure! And then came Christmas.

Two Dogs and a Baby. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Packing on the pounds (in a good way! Today I took Elise to the breastfeeding support group at Community South, anxious to know a) her current weight and b) how many ounces she "gleans" from me during a feeding. Having just gotten the whole nursing thing worked out (still praising Jesus for that miracle), I've just been so curious to know how many ounces she takes in. I weighed her before she ate, and she was 10# 2.6 oz! From my left side she got 3 oz (wow!

I found this recipe from my church's cookbook - it's called Taco Soup. I've made it a couple times and it is AMAZZZING. i thought i'd share the recipe because it's totally easy, it just has a ton. 1 (16oz) bag of mexican shredded cheese (i use the habanero kroger brand kind). 15 lbs ground beef. Monday, January 11, 2010. Today was an adventure to say the least! I have a wonderful friend who has actually potty trained each and every one of her four children at 18 months of age. in ONE DAY! I was amazed, and she was encouraging me to try her method with Tessa. Soooo. I finally read her book on Saturday, and decided to give potty training a whirl today. I am so proud! Wednesday, December 12, 2012. The JOY children bring to the Holidays! The other night I was talking with Carolina about the story of Jesus birth. We thought she wouldn't fully understand, but she did, and she loved it. Never mind that she wanted me to talk about the cow and the sheep too, but none the less, it was a success. Carolina had no fear! She told Santa she wants a Christmas outfit. That is a skirt and sweater and a hat. (Great! The one year Santa didn't get clothes! Thank you Pottery Barn kids!
