Philip Paris was Born in 1958 and raised in Gateshead, England. He left school and immediately got a job in the Print Industry. Philip finally left Tyneside to study printing technology at Watford College in 1980 and in 1983 and became a reporter for. Philip has worked in various trade press journalist and editorial positions. Latterly he joined a Public Relations company in Esher that works in graphic arts. Philip Paris is the author of the historical novel The Italian Chapel. And his new book Orkney's Italian Chapel. He lives in the Highlands of Scotland and this is his first published novel (his other published work is factual). Philip went to Orkney on his honeymoon in 2005 and was immediately captivated by the Italian Chapel built by Italian Prisoners of War and was inspired to find out as much as he could about the lives and characters of the people who built it.
