Let me know. About others that you think should be here. If you’re linking to me, then (a) thanks ever so much! And (b) would you mind using the name Get to the pub.com please, so it appears like that, because the .com is part of the name and everything? Striking and original pub photography. Sunday, 13 February 2011. Loos with a view. On coming across a lonely shed overlooking the ocean with a block of wood hanging outside that had "no" written on it (on the other side was written "yes") I was a bit puzzled. Some form of communication - perhaps between a couple, one living inland the other working by the sea? Shows (MSN has picked out a few here. This is his second book - the first was. A Loo with a View. How to Shit in the Woods. Or to give it its full glorious title -. Loos with a view.

Thursday, 6 January 2011. One man's trash is another man's treasure. The council run banks are. But the banks don't just deal in clothes they offer almost every household item you could desire and are true Aladdin's caves. It is in theory possible to kit out a whole household with the stuff available. Mattresses, hard back chairs, stools, high chairs, old ring binders, rows of radiators and fan heaters, electric fires, all manner and colour of armchairs and sofas - matching and mismatching sets.

Ok, well before anyone cries, it's not. Fraggle Rock hair it's felt but I had you worried for a moment. A booty chest of supplies that all these crafty people seem to have. Pulling Fraggle Rock hair, sorry, blue felt).

Saturday, 23 April 2011. Sandfly Hell.why we need to nuke them! No one will tell you before you go to New Zealand that at certain tourist hot spots on the south island you will be eaten alive by tiny insects about the same size as the fruit fly, swarming around in much, much, MUCH greater numbers. This is why I'm telling you now. The newspaper story about it). All day long and not getting any work done. How to stop the onslaught? Some people swear by DEET but this is pretty nasty stuff and I'm not sure i...

Friday, 25 February 2011. Things have been a little crazy lately. I left Christchurch the day before the earthquake hit, and two of my favourite hang-outs - Sumner and Cathedral Square were badly hit. If I hadn't booked my very last minute trip to Auckland those are the likely places that I would have been. So I'm feeling blessed. She stood outside the cathedral and was about to go inside, when something made her decide that she must just email her boyfriend - due to fly out and meet her - first. So ...
