Cruising Mexico on S/V Faith. Monday, September 1, 2014. Today is the first day of September! The days are getting shorter, the leaves are turning to flame and the temperatures are beginning to drop. It seems like we just arrived home and it is already time to start packing for this winter’s cruising. Family time: Sandy with sisters, Barb and Kathy and Mom. And it is definitely f-u-n! Cruising Mexico on S/V Faith. Saturday, November 23, 2013. Borrego Springs, CA. These lovely horses greeted us as we drove into town. The beautiful mountains surrounding Borrego Springs. What a nice surprise. The road through the mountains is very narrow and winding but after riding 12,000 miles with Chris I have decided to stop worrying about how close we are to the edge and just enjoy the scenery. Saturday, October 9, 2010. I heard the U.S. called "The American Experiment" back in history class, and I think that when coined, the term encompassed more than the democracy we pioneered. It included the rights we codified in the Constitution, our diverse population (relatively speaking), and even the geography of North America as the setting for this new culture we were building based on those principles. Did we base our culture on those principles? So why wax on about the subversion of democracy?
