http://algaefish.blogspot.com/2015/07/happy-belated-birthday-to-dad.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Happy (belated) birthday to Dad! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The other L.Vis! I went here. Now I graduated. This is where I teach this year. But not really books. Could have been worse. Desert (not to be confused with dessert). Exorbitantly long post title that I thought I ought to match with an equally ridiculous label. Frustrating first world problems. I feel so blessed. I hate talking on the phone. I hope I dont ever move anywhere really cold!

algae fish: January 2015
http://algaefish.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. Feeling craft-y (not to be confused with crafty). Today we had craft day at church. I'm pretty happy with how my projects turned out. Can you guess my favorite color? Wintery wreath made from ornaments. It was fun to make. I did have one more ornament fall off on the way home. If i can find where it is from, I might try to add it back on. Also, I think I need to move the bow down about an inch if I can figure out how to do that. Saturday, January 24, 2015. Never a dull moment.

http://pcskinderblog.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Pictures, stories, and quotes from our Kindergarten adventures. Friday, August 29, 2014. In case having a dinosaur visit was not exciting enough, we also had a tadpole in our class today! Our Bible story was the story of Babel, so first we tried building towers only using baby words. It was very hard to work together and share ideas! Today's alphabet snacks were i. Ceberg lettuce, j. Iwi ("It feels hairy like my dad's arm is hairy," said one student), l. Ime, and m. Dirt is so yummy! Food in the classroom.

Friday, July 31, 2015. Sasamat Lake - the warmest lake in B.C. But first, a few pictures from yesterday. Jayna is showing her progress on the weaving loom Grandma and Grandpa gave her for her birthday. Benjamin is eating bells this his Grandpa played with when he was a baby! Today we went to Sasamat Lake, the warmest lake in B.C. We arrived around 9:30 and the beach and lake were quite empty. Even Benjamin went in the water, even though he was a little unsure at first. Yes, he is pouring sand on his back.

Friday, August 14, 2015. Fresh tomato sauce because we don't need to cook when it is 116 degrees outside. Why yes, that is fresh tomato sauce. In the makings on a Friday night. It was a sweltering 116 when I got home (but I saw that the airport recorded 117 today. A new record. Yay. But not really yay.). I had started to feel a little nauseous when I left school - I. I felt a lot more human and a lot less wilted. Labels: desert (not to be confused with dessert). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I wond...

Monday, December 15, 2014. View from the doorstep again. Friday night I think. The recent clouds have made for some really pretty sunrises and sunsets. Tuesday, December 09, 2014. The Garden is set up for their luminaria display, so there are poinsettias around too. So pretty! Here is the view from the top of the hill this afternoon:. It was nice that Amanda and her son could join me today. It was fun to go with someone. Gorgeous sunset as we were leaving! Labels: desert (not to be confused with dessert).

http://pcskinderblog.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Pictures, stories, and quotes from our Kindergarten adventures. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Marshmallow and toothpick shapes. We are starting to get ready for graduation! Monday, April 27, 2015. New week, new centers. Our art (not pictured) also connected with math: we looked at some of Piet Mondrian's art and then made our own pictures with squares and rectangles, coloring in some spaces with primary colors. We are finished the entire alphabet, so this week is vowel week! Wednesday, April 22, 2015. As yo...

PCS PreK-8 Kindergarten: Second day of Kindergarten!
http://pcskinderblog.blogspot.com/2015/08/second-day-of-kindergarten.html
Pictures, stories, and quotes from our Kindergarten adventures. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Second day of Kindergarten! It is day 2 of Kindergarten and we are starting to read! Every morning we will start with a morning message which, especially at the beginning of the year, follows a predictable pattern. Already today I could hear more children trying to read along. During story and alphabet (reading) time, we started reading environmental print. Look at some of the long words we read today! I spend the ...
