Walking home from work | photogrethe

Photography from Oslo and beyond. Akerselva – a river in Oslo. New and old →. Walking home from work. Practice does not make perfect, but it helps. It is also good therapy. I try to photograph something every day. As most days are workdays I give you some images of my walk home. This newly upgraded road for walkers and cyclists got an attractive resting place best seen before the leaves embrace it. It is not the first time, and probably not the last time that this short stretch of road is featured here.

Photography from Oslo and beyond. Newer posts →. When the planes have gone – part 2. Starting off with a general view of the new beach that has been constructed where the airport mentioned in the last post used to be. Looks promising. I like the use of materials in the new service-kiosk. Glad to get a closer look before the crowds come. This setup for table-tennis wold have been overcrowded the summer. The new park is named after our arctic hero Nansen. When the planes have gone. Should I focus on the di...

Photography from Oslo and beyond. Walking home from work. A good thing about most cities is the variety of motives you can find in a relative short walk. Here I start in the old town of Oslo (Gamlebyen). Most houses are about 100 years old, with a few newer ones squeezed in between. I posted similar houses from a neighboring street some time ago, maybe I like the strong lines they show or maybe it is the colorful house-painting that is the attraction. This backyard must have been stables in former days.

The Camera Lies - Ian Grey's Journal

The Camera Lies - Ian Grey's Journal. Thursday, May 17, 2012. Phoenix from 8' away. I can't say that he's a pleasure to work with (a la Green Light), he is proving to be reliable, patient, wonderfully curious and willing to push himself a little each day. I guess, after re-reading my last sentence, I can say that he. Learning. Go figure. Posted by Ian Grey at 11:07 PM. Aftermath and Insight. (Feeder Warfare, pt II).
