The Next Big Adventure...: May 2014
http://pianokid13.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
May 23, 2014. May 10, 2014. I decided to make a wall in my bedroom with some motivational quotes, to remind me that things are always good, or going to get better. I played around a bit in InDesign and came up with a few. I mean to add a few more in the coming weeks. Basically, "count your blessings." I need to be better at this. Isn't Dr. Suess a genius? One of my favorite Islamic sayings. I'm really hoping that the Arabic on the bottom says what the website indicated . . . May 1, 2014. Book of the Month.
The Next Big Adventure...: June 2015
http://pianokid13.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Jun 7, 2015. I know it's been a LONG time since I've written on this blog. With my book review blog, work, and other writing, I haven't been keeping up with this as well as I used to do. The last month or so has been filled with some really hard things, personally. I've been angrier than I have been in a while, and sadder, too. This has all just added to my stress. So about two weeks ago, I decided to start exercising again. Then something happened this week. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I love YA fiction...
The Next Big Adventure...: April 2014
http://pianokid13.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Apr 25, 2014. Update: Birthday and Comic-Con. April has been an exciting month, lots to do and lots of fun. The month started with LDS General Conference, which I got to spend at home with Mom, Dad, and Bro. The next weekend was my birthday! My birthday happened to get stretched out to cover the whole weekend, and into the week a little bit. A Christmas present from my parents- twice the enjoyment! The play was AMAZING! It was a fun night, with just a few friends, which is exactly what I like. My birthda...
The Next Big Adventure...: New Job, a Week in Review
http://pianokid13.blogspot.com/2014/08/new-job-week-in-review.html
Aug 8, 2014. New Job, a Week in Review. I'm so tired. What is it about starting something new that makes one exhausted? I started my new job on Tuesday. Leading up to that day I was starting to have serious doubts about my ability to actually do the job I was hired to do. Does anyone else feel like that before starting a job? That you are going to completely fail? I just need some sleep first . . . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Check out photos of my adventures! Which cove...
The Next Big Adventure...: The Adventure of Getting a New Job
http://pianokid13.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-adventure-of-getting-new-job.html
Jul 14, 2014. The Adventure of Getting a New Job. I'm pretty sure I was in shock the entire weekend. I'm working on the production team of a company based in another state that makes training videos and materials. There are about four of us in the office- it's pretty tiny. When I officially start next week I will be an editorial assistant, mostly working with the questions at the end of the courses. I think. I totally understood it when it was explained to me but now I'm not so sure. They come in handy!

Play like noone is listening: June 2010
http://listen13.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Play like noone is listening. We all have a rocker inside. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Ryan the Intern (Week 3). Week 3 is all about the Roof! I worked with a very small crew. one guy (Carry) plus me! This was really great because I got to have one on one attention and the opportunity to get hands on experience! More details to come. Day 2: We prepared for the aforementioned project, working on the roof of the Maeser Building! It was a lot of investigatory work. Good to learn how to do that! I really enjoyed...
Play like noone is listening: The beat of my slowly failing heart
http://listen13.blogspot.com/2010/04/beat-of-my-slowly-failing-heart.html
Play like noone is listening. We all have a rocker inside. Thursday, April 1, 2010. The beat of my slowly failing heart. Over the last few weeks, the only thing that keeps me sane is the constant knowledge that I will be able to play about 6 hours of rockband per week. This is sad you say? Well, I'd rather play rock band twice a week and be sane than the alternative. You say that you are insane to play that much rockband? No, my friend, YOU are the one that is insane for thinking that. And then I said.

Do a Double-Take: I'm Living in . . .
http://doadouble-take.blogspot.com/2012/08/im-living-in.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. I'm Living in . . . There is A LOT for me to update you all on. First off, Travis and I moved to Des Moines. For those of you who have no idea, it's in Iowa, and it's pronounced DUH-MOYN. No "s" sound (it drives me crazy when people pronounce the "s"! People in Des Moines are really. Friendly. They definitely live up to the Midwest friendly stereotype. People you hardly know talk to you like you're best friends. And I thought Utah was friendly! I miss Cafe Rio! People here seem O...
Moments of Ruth (and Matthew): November 2013 Media Inventory
http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013/12/november-2013-media-inventory.html
Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Tuesday, December 3, 2013. November 2013 Media Inventory. Only one more month to go! It's surprising how fast this year has gone by. And at the same time, the months and days seem to go pretty slowly. Here's what I watched and read in November:. Sorry, Wrong Number: This movie was surprisingly dark for an old classic. I thought I knew where it was going, and then- whoa. Labyrinth: What the weird. This film reminded me of something I would come up with in a dream after e...

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Thursday, October 17, 2013. September 2013 Media Inventory. Now that we're over halfway through October, I suppose I'd better hurry and post this. I may have less to say than usual. Megamind: Fun movie. I liked it. Mulan: One of my favorite Disneys! Great scenery, story, music, characters, etc. Lady and the Tramp: I loved this so much I wrote a post about it. The Fox and the Hound: Another one of my very favorites as a kid. It does make me cry. Howl's Moving Castle: Matthew...

Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Saturday, April 6, 2013. March 2013 Media Inventory. Sorry T. S. Eliot, but March is totally the cruelest month. Cold, windy, snowy, and so much school. Thank goodness for books and movies. Amadeus: Can you believe I hadn't seen this in its entirety until now? Breaking Dawn (part 2): I had a lot of fun watching this with Matthew. We laughed, we poked fun, we cried (tears of LAUGHTER! And we totally bought into the fight scene, which, let's face it, was the best part. I ...
Moments of Ruth (and Matthew): September 2013
http://ruthena.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Moments of Ruth (and Matthew). Monday, September 9, 2013. Re-viewed: Lady and the Tramp. I have no idea why, but I've been on an old Disney movie kick lately. And I've been having a lot of surprising new discoveries in all my adult wisdom that never really impressed me as a child. Take for example, Lady and the Tramp:. 1 That song at the beginning makes me cry. Am I crazy emotional or is it crazy beautiful? Doesn't she occupy their bedroom now? 8 Peg is an awesome and intriguing character. She always...

Apr 13, 2018. 20 Things I'm Glad I Did in my 20s. But, instead of focusing on the things I didn't do in my 20s, I think I should talk about the things I did do.
