The concept of the title, "Turtle Crossing" stems from childhood memories of living on the lake as a small boy, and risking everything to catch a turtle, only to return them once again to the wild environment that they were taken from. My late wife Beth schemed about the title of my memoir, and this suits me fine. She agreed, as well, when she lived her brilliant, short life amongst us. I dedicate this all to her.
