卑南族在人口上來說，是一個小族，近 約一萬餘人(台東縣約有一千六百餘人)，但卑南族卻是一個強悍的族群，清領時期有八社，在台東很有勢力，被封為「卑南王」。 卑南族屬於母系社會，男子入贅女方家，這樣的習俗也隨著時代的改變而有所調適。以結婚為例，目前大都是從夫居住的父系社會的婚姻法則。孩子們的姓氏也以父親的姓氏為主，有些家庭則一半從父姓、一半從母姓。卑南族的社會裡 有二個領導人物， 一個是男祭師負責主持部落性的重要祭儀；一位是政治領袖， 由村子裡領導能力強的人來擔任，負責部落裡重大事情的協調者，亦是人獵祭、爭戰的領導人物。目前男祭師依然沿續傳統的職責，在部落裡受人敬重；政治領袖則因現代行政體系的介入在各村的職權消長也有所不同。 訂閱： 文章 (Atom).

The black line on my finger is what the surgeon drew on my hand to indigate the angle where the screws should be placed. So I had surgery Thursday around 3.
