Sunday, August 30, 2015. I made another basket. This one has a lot of purple with blue and green swirls. I made a slightly flared edge around the top. I found a silver colored doohickey that I sewed on with invisible/polyester thread. I like it and another one done. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. My sister is having a birthday this month. Usually I remember a birthday way in advance, like the first of the month. And then I mean to send something. And I forget. This time I decided to be proactive. I will make the card and set it aside until closer to the date. Then I will probably forget to mail it, but I will have MADE it on time! Our family used to keep peacocks, so this peacock image appealed to me. My sister and I frequently give peacock themed gifts to each other.

Saturday, November 29, 2014. If It Fits It Ships. I love the whole idea of not having to go to the post office to weigh something to determine how much postage you need to place on it. The post office has taken the FedEx idea of providing specific boxes for a predetermined price. You can ship feathers or rocks and whatever fits in the box ships for one set price. Each morning for the past few months, I have awakened, opened my blinds, and been actually depressed to see sunshine an a cloudless blue sky. Everything has dried up.
