Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Saturday Trip to York. This past Saturday, we decided to head east a bit to the town of York. Historic buildings, scenic setting, antique shops, cafes and a nice car museum (think of Snohomish.for you Washington folks). The town has the distinction of being the 'first inland settlement' in Western Australia. We were not expecting the drive out to York to be so beautiful. Wow! We drove through groves of Salmon Gum trees which give off a beautiful red color. Come on.I'm starving".

Wednesday, March 7, 2012. A continuation of the last post.to show images from our short stay in Albany. We stayed at the Dog Rock Motel. A well know landmark sits across the street ( even a painted dog collar). Albany has a nice downtown leading to King George Sound. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Jurien Bay and Cervantes Pinnacles. Great weather forecast for the weekend.so we took advantage and headed north a few hours to Jurien Bay. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Climbing the walls in winter! Took the kids to the big outdoor retailer (like REI) near Perth called Anaconda. In the center of the store they had a large climbing tower.
