In March, 2017, 47 sport fishing charter boat captains in Zuihuatanejo, Mexico took the unprecedented step of coming together as one to form the Zihuatanejo Catch and Release Fishing Club. The captains mission is to promote catch and release sports fishing for billfish in the Pacific Ocean waters around Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa to protect and restore bill fish populations in the area.
