Govan History is a site with three main topics, 'An Early History' is a brief review of the area's more distant past,. Then the experiences of growing up in the town are told in the two books of biography 'A Govan Childhood - the 1930s' and 'In Peace and War'. They provide a vivid word picture with photographs, sketches and drawings of what it was like living in Govan. Since it was formed in 1997 the author has been archivist of the Pollokshaws Heritage Group. There's also A Brief History of Pollokshaws.

Pollok's New Sausage Plant and Deli Now Open. The Pollok family is proud to announce that the new Sausage production plant and deli are now open for business. The new 7,000 square foot facility will be the new home of the well known "Pollok's" sausage. The production of Pollok's sausage is already underway and expectations are high for the productivity of the new plant. The Pollok's Deli is open Monday thru Friday 6am - 6pm. This study will focus on the changes that occurred in this area from 1912 (annexation of Pollokshaws to Glasgow).
