It’s also got the most staggering views from the top and is the first place I’ve been to which has anything which could be termed ‘interpretation’. Well, there are some brown, tin signs with names on them – and believe me, that’s brown tin signs more than anywhere else has got! So was I impressed? So what’s the catch? In the meantime, it looks nice from the outside …. I wonder if the ministry of tourism have any jobs going?

So I am now proposing to hang our photographs on bicycle gear-change cable, which I found in a cosmetics shop. We now have no water at work and, since our fusebox exploded in a shower of sparks, no lights at home. I could tell you how we bumped into HRH Prince Seeiso at the restaurant and how it lead to our meeting his radiant wife. I could tell you about the fillet steak I enjoyed in good company that same evening. Questions and reflexions are now piling: when was it done? Was it done by the Boers or the English?

He was born in the early 1920 and came with his shinning shoe… to my shame! And we went for a visit on the Royal Village… I will never have enough of it! Now I know where Letsie I’s huge rondavel was, and ‘Ntate Mitchell saw it still standing! Well, I won’t blame it for that, events proved him right! I’ll have drinks in my bag!
