PEMS first focus is emergency medical care for the communities in which it operates. Every community has a unique set of needs and PEMS provides a professional, cost effective solution. In 1991 Rob Hargreaves purchased his first Ambulance service which was known as Lake Land Ambulance service. Since then Rob has incorporated several ambulance services under the name Prairie Emergency Medical Systems. PEMS has slowly grown since 1991. Over the years, Prairie EMS has developed a system that can supply the highest level of service at the most affordable cost for the community. All administrative and management level services are provided and based out of this division located in the City of Fort Saskatchewan. Special event coverage services and ambulances are coordinated and maintained from this office. Prairie EMS provides Fort Saskatchewan with two 24 hour ambulances that operate 7 days a week.
