Thank God, and I do mean that sincerely, he wasted not time in saying to Mary, “You are cured of hepatitis C! Mary and I responded to this information with a cheer. We recently found out our girls have Hepatitis C. The most likely source of the virus was the blood transfusions they received as premature infants. The most effective way to battle this virus is with chemotherapy. Although this virus is potentially life threatening, they have only the beginning stages of liver inflammation and no liver damage. Not Much Goin’ On. May 5, 2011 at 10:17 am Posted in Mom and Dad. Mandy gave blood for her 1 month post-treatment viral test. I think it will be 2 weeks before we get results. She had a bad throat infection and went to our family doctor yesterday. She is feeling remarkably better today. Shots are amazing. She continues to feel a little better all the time.
