Tuesday, 31 October 2017. Canterbury Shaker Village NH. On Oct 13 we were able to visit an original Shaker Village near Canterbury NH. It was a beautiful fall day so it was lovely to wander around the various houses and buildings where this religious group lived and worked. Below is the main building with the male and female dormitories and kitchens and refectory. I was very interested in the house where needlecraft was practiced. They made hooked rugs,.
