Flash recreations of British television idents, presentation and continuity. Monday, 28 March 2011. In 1967, colour had officially come to BBC2. However, an official colour ident had not! Contrary to popular belief, during the test phase they simply used the old style presentation luma-keyed, then when colour went full time in 1967 they just used these holding slides to introduce programmes. It wasn't until all channels were going colour in 1969 that the famous rotating coloured 2's were introduced.

I didn’t know how to make it look realistic then, but I’ve since been given lots of good advice from Rory Clark. This new version was produced in Inkscape. And aged in The GIMP. Sunday, January 22, 2012. Synfig Studio Gate Weave. If I wasn't so stupid, I’d have realised you could add gate weave to my animations in Synfig Studio. Without the need for any coding whatsoever. Here’s an example:. You simply need to add a translate layer to your animation. The translate layer is used to move things around the canvas. Here’s one in my layers panel:. Translate layer in layers panel. You then convert the X-axis and Y-axis values to Random. Put in some suitable values, such as these:.
