March 9, 2011. I was thinking about this video as I was looking out the bedroom window at the carport roof. My roofer said they don’t do “dead level” roofs anymore because the debris lands on them and just stays. Time to climb out of the window (which I’d much rather do than get on a ladder) and clean it off. This is what it looked like before:. And this is what it looks now:. I hope I don’t get blisters. Maybe next time I’ll use the blower. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

March 3, 2011. Okay, so I had a few stressful days coordinating work on the exterior- the foundation guys needed water to mix the cement. No water! The plumber was called, the lockbox wouldn’t open and he couldn’t get in. Next up, newbie that I am, I had the roofer scheduled to be there at the same time men were under the house, not good. They were able to shift the work around to accommodate the roofer. Thanks guys! The darker areas are the new mortar. And now, I am the proud owner of a new roof!

March 4, 2011. My plumber asked me why the the electric meter looks new:. Funny story, that. A few months ago the electric company called me:. Them: “We went out to read your meter and it wasn’t there. We think somebody stole it.”. Them: “Yep. You need to go inside and turn off the main breaker before we can replace it.”. Me: “Do you mean the thief could have gotten electrocuted? Them: “Yep.”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.
