Project: Transplant

Contact Justin and Emily. December 31, 2016. As we get closer to the transplant, more and more appointments have been added to the portal. Blood work, PET scans, regular treatment appointments, a bone marrow biopsy, pre-transplant meetings it seems that we will be very familiar with the halls of U of M Hospital over the next couple of months. We have been told that if all goes according to plan Justin will spend a total of 3 to 4 weeks in the hospital, to then come home for the remainder of his care.

Contact Justin and Emily. T-Minus: Three Weeks →. December 27, 2016. As you can imagine, going through such a dramatic medical procedure can bring about a lot of attention, always well intentioned, but sometimes overwhelming. In the last year, I have been doing my best to only share my story as a caregiver, limiting the personal information about Justin and his medical journey. A long time ago, Justin and I decided together that my blog [THE CORNER OFFICE]. My goal is to create an environment to inspire ...

Contact Justin and Emily. I have refined my content over the years, and most recently started focusing on creating an online community to encourage others to live as the best version of themselves, whatever that may be. Part of the reflective process that lead me to reformatting The Corner Office, was the response I received from sharing my story as Justin’s caregiver as he has gone through his latest treatment process. These posts were shared in a series called “The New Normal”. Join 61 other followers.

Project: Transplant – The Corner Office

https://blogthecorneroffice.com/2016/12/28/project-transplant

What’s This All About? Just for Fun: 25 Things. December 28, 2016. Yesterday I released a new, personal project on my Facebook page. For months I have been brainstorming, planning, overthinking, and strategizing around starting a blog to share Justin’s bone marrow transplant journey. After hours sitting at the hospital working on the formatting, finalizing the first post, working on the images, and perfecting the finer details of the site I launched Project: Transplant. Categories The New Normal. The Cor...

Connecting travelers with locals to experience the best of any city

Connecting travelers with locals to experience the best of any city. So….what next? For the remainder of the trip, I couldn’t help but think about the idea. By the time I got home, I had a long list of notes on my phone, anything from design, revenue model, target market, etc. Great, lots of notes. Now the hard part — bringing this idea to life. How on earth do I do that? First up — market research! Is this market too crowded? Are these companies already addressing my problem? November 4, 2015. Suddenly,...
