Hold it up to the light. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Spaciousness in the wilderness. I wrote the following piece for the church newsletter. As mentioned before, this church is focusing on Spiritual Practices while the pastor is on sabbatical. Read on to hear about my spiritual practice of spaciousness. And so it has begun… our journey, alongside Jesus, that leads to Jerusalem; our journey into the wilderness. I wonder what we will find in the wilderness? Who or what awaits us? This includes harm done to...

Hold it up to the light. Saturday, September 6, 2014. I would encourage you, if your device allows, to play this song. While you read this post.]. Are there bigger fish in the pond that could eat them? Do they know it, if that's true? Then I moved to the other side of the dock and I immediately saw a beautiful purple damselfly floating in the water. I wondered about its fate: do damselflies usually lie in the water? Karen Oliveto: Welcome, Everyone?

INTO THE DEEP END I have never been one to enjoy a wading pool. Even as a small child, I couldn't wait to jump into the deep end of the pool. I loved being able to not just float on the surface, but dive deep, deeper still, into the watery depths. Funny, it is the way I like to live life as well. Thursday, November 21, 2013. When I was the associate dean at Pacific School of Religion. I attended Epworth United Methodist Church in Berkeley. This week was not a good news week for The United Methodist Church.
