If Michigan State wins tonight over Marquette, the Big Ten almost certainly will see 3 of their 5 entrants advance to the second round. They're off to a great start, leading 30-18 at half. More interesting, of MU's 18 points, none came from 2 point baskets. Don't see that often. If Michigan State holds on in the second half, they'll be the first lower seed to win today. Otherwise, fear the chalk. Daequan Cook's stroke is insanely pretty.

The horrible, didn't deserve six bids, boring, "down" year Big 10 finished round 1 of the NCAA tournament 5-1, including wins from 2 of the three teams seeded lower than their opponents. The only loser was Illinois, the weakest offensive team of the bunch.
