What are Crisis Brownies? Wide World of Mommydom. Friday, November 23, 2012. I spent the day alone, by choice, and on a whim, ran down to Price Chopper at 8 am and bought myself a turkey. Detest potatoes - yes, people, there are folks out there who hate potatoes, they are my children. Sausage and Apple Stuffing. It's my family's favorite, with crumbled pork sausage, chopped apples, celery, walnuts, sauteed onion and sage. I've converted a few people with this one! 1 bunch of celery. Sage, fresh and dried.

What are Crisis Brownies? Wide World of Mommydom. Thursday, January 19, 2012. Corn and Crab Cake over Cheese Grits. Plowing through post-holiday depression is like overcoming inertia: the longer you let things lie, the harder it is to get off that couch, or out of the cozy confines of your bed and move. Part of it is no doubt the result of being bogged down by the excesses of rich food from Thanksgiving until New Year's Eve. To that end, as a sort of detox program, I often dive into vegan recipes. Saute ...

Soufflé-Palooza
http://crisisbrownies.blogspot.com/2012/07/souffle-palooza.html
What are Crisis Brownies? Wide World of Mommydom. Monday, July 30, 2012. I've gone on a bit of a carb binge the past few days and splurged by making a variety of soufflés, sweet and savory. I'm going off a base recipe and adjusting as I go. So far, although there have been a few technical glitches here and there, these soufflés have been delicious. Set that aside and whip your egg white to pretty stiff peaks, adding 1/8 teaspoon of cream of tartar if you like to help stabilize the whites. Then fold i...

What are Crisis Brownies? Wide World of Mommydom. Monday, May 28, 2012. I baked the steaks in a preheated 350 F degree oven for about 20 minutes. Easy and delicious. The salmon was moist, soft and buttery, absolutely perfect. I didn't end up taking a picture, though. We were all hungry, and we also had to keep an eye on the cat's movements. He's a big fan of salmon, too. :). Leftover salmon, about 4 ounces. 1 egg, beaten. 2 tablespoons minced shallot, or onion. 2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard. Over mediu...

“A Sistine Chapel in Foam” | French Press Fancy
https://frenchpressfancy.wordpress.com/2013/11/14/a-sistine-chapel-in-foam
Just a caffeine junky living in the land of fair-trade drinks. 8220;A Sistine Chapel in Foam”. November 14, 2013. Paphrased quote for the title is credited to my fantastic friend Douglas Wolk, who is infinitely better at this stuff than I am.). Recently, I’ve started contemplating the whole latte art. Craze By latte art, I mean the habit of baristas fiddling around in my coffee cup with a spoon and the top layer of foam to draw a design. SF is a hotbed of coffee shops and overenthusiastic barista artists...
