Top of the Rock. Trip to Roosevelt Island. Posted Sun, 06/19/2011 - 21:23. Last Friday, we took a terrific trip to Roosevelt Island. We trained to the island, and then we took the awesome tram over the East River to Manhattan and back. We got an amazing view of the river, the Queensboro Bridge (with it's fantastic arch and truss work) and loads of other sites. Take a look at some pictures, here.
