Today I got to be a kid again. Emily and I went for a hike but ended up just wandering through the mountains nearby, taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Thursday, February 21, 2008. I admit I have never loved the heavy-twang, back-country blue grass. This is what I pictured when I thought of mandolins. I was under the impression that they sounded very much like a banjo. NOT SO! If you were to mix a violin and a guitar, the mandolin would be the final product. Thursday, June 6, 2013. The Ironies of Life. I love my family. I wouldn't actually trade them for what I've already had when I was single, but it's a little ironic.
